ZAGREB & HIKING ON MEDVEDNICA

Trip plan:

Day 1:

Meeting at the bus station or airport in Zagreb after arrival. Departure to the hotel and check-in. Lunch in a popular restaurant with traditional Croatian cuisine. Afternoon walk through the city center and tour of Zagreb downtown with the tour guide. Visit to King Tomislav Square, park Zrinjevac, Cvjetni Square, Josip Jelačić Square (Central Square), Zagreb Cathedral and the Old Town, where the seat of the Croatian Government is located. Dinner and rest in the hotel.

Day 2:

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to the southern foot of Medvednica- Šestine. Hiking tour all the way to the top of Medvednica- Sljeme (about 2,5 hours). Visit of the old fort Medvedgrad (built 1254) on the way up, where the monument "alter of the homeland" is located. After arriving on Sljeme, lunch and rest in a hut. Walk back to the beginning point and departure back to the hotel. Evening walk through the city center and free time. Dinner and rest in the hotel.

Day 3:

Departure to the nothern foot of Medvednica- Stubičke Toplice. Hiking tour all the way to the top of Medvednica- Sljeme (about 3,5 hours). After arriving on Sljeme, lunch and rest in a hut. Walk further and descent on the southern (city) side ie. foot of Medvednica where the transport will be waiting. Departure back to the hotel. Free time in the evening. Dinner and rest in the hotel.

Day 4:

Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out and departure to the bus station or airport. Departure.
